All characters on BeMyBuddi are entirely fictional and AI-generated. No character represents, depicts, or is based on any real person, living or deceased. Any resemblance to real individuals is purely coincidental and unintentional.

Characters do not have real feelings, opinions, or consciousness. Interactions with characters do not constitute a real relationship of any kind. All messages, images, and media generated by characters are produced by artificial intelligence.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address and display name provided during registration, and your age verification status.
• Messages & Content: Messages you send and receive within conversations, as well as any media shared or generated within the Service.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the Service, and interaction patterns.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and IP address.
• Payment Information: Transaction records processed through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your credit card numbers directly.
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions and improve your experience.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Personalize your experience and deliver relevant content.
• Process transactions and send related information.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your conversations with third parties. You can delete everything permanently at any time.

Your conversation data is never used to train third-party AI models. We do not share, rent, or sell personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties for their marketing purposes.

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security). Data stored on our servers is protected using encryption at rest and strict access controls.

We employ monitoring, logging, and access controls to protect against unauthorized access to your account and conversation data. While no system is 100% secure, we use commercially reasonable and industry-standard safeguards.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text messages, images, and other media. AI-generated images are created programmatically and do not depict real people. Generated content may be temporarily cached to improve performance but is not shared externally.

We retain AI-generated content (including images sent within conversations) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of this content at any time.

We use select third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure.
• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives only the data necessary to process your payment. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. These tools may collect anonymous usage data but do not have access to your conversations.

Third-party providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

We retain your personal information and conversation data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated data, including conversations, messages, and generated media, within 30 days.

We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (which cannot identify you) for analytical purposes. Transaction records may be retained as required by tax and financial regulations.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data.
• Request a portable copy of your data in a commonly used format.

All purchases, subscriptions, and payments made through the Service are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase you acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to a refund or credit for any reason, including dissatisfaction with the Service, accidental purchases, or unused subscription time.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Voluntary payments (tips, content unlocks) are made to support the platform and selected experience. These payments are not charitable donations and are not a direct transfer to a specific real-world individual.

The Service is strictly limited to users aged 18 and older. We require affirmative age confirmation before granting access to interactive features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and permanently delete all associated data. We comply with COPPA and equivalent international child protection regulations.

Interactions on BeMyBuddi are for entertainment and companionship purposes only. The Service does not provide therapy, mental health services, or medical advice. Characters are not a substitute for human relationships or professional support.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for emotional distress, dependency, or decisions made based on interactions with characters. Characters may change, be updated, or be discontinued at any time without notice or guarantee of continuity.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
